This isn't the first time that New World has been the highest seller on Steam however pre-orders for the title managed to be No.1 several times in the summer due to a closed beta for the upcoming game. The MMO scored the top spot on the platform following its September 28th release. Amazon's recently-launched New World was the best-selling item on Steam last week.
